In this role you will be part of a close-knit team working on the Decoration pages of House & Garden magazine, supporting the Style Director and Decoration Editor with their everyday tasks, photoshoots and monthly deadlines.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting the team throughout all stages of photoshoots, including preparation, execution on the day and post-shoot follow-up.
- Compiling the monthly Wise Buys feature by researching, gathering and presenting a selection of interior products for the page.
- Assisting with the research, writing and creation of online Decoration content, including shopping guides, product galleries and feature stories.
- Calling in images and product loans for features.
- Working closely with the Conde Nast Logistics team to book collections and returns for photoshoots, locally, nationwide and overseas.
- Preparing crediting information according to the House & Garden format and entering it into the system.
- Uploading images and image use agreements into our content planning systems.
- Managing the Decoration diary by scheduling events, appointments and tracking invitations.
- Organising hotel and travel bookings for photoshoots and work-related trips. Filing invoices and keeping the costings file up to date.
- Maintaining and organizing sample boxes, toolkits and the Decoration workspace.
- Updating and organizing the archives for the Decoration Department.
Who you are:
- Ability to work effectively as a team player both on and off set, staying calm under pressure and consistently meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to take direction and instruction, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
- A developed (or developing) interest in the design world, crafts, art and design history.
- Clear communication, excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Friendly and a genuine interest in engaging with the social aspects of the interior design industry.
- Craft skills and the ability to sew, draw, paint etc are desirable skills.
