If you’re looking to kickstart your career in graphic design, we have an exciting design internship opportunity at Grayling UK.
Grayling is the UK’s best-connected communications agency, working across Consumer, Corporate, and Public Affairs. With nine UK offices and 20+ worldwide, they help brands make an impact through smart thinking, cultural insights, and creative ideas.
This is a fantastic chance to build your portfolio and gain hands-on experience, working alongside the best in the business on branding and graphic design, presentation and report design, print design as well as social content creation. You’ll work closely with the Design Studio, supporting a wide range of projects across all sectors.
Key activities
- Developing infographics, visual assets and Powerpoint presentation templates
- Creation of social media graphics and social posts
- Supporting report and document design, applying best practices in layout and typography
- Helping to ensure design files are well organised and easy to collaborate on
- Experimenting with AI tools and platforms such as MidJourney, Adobe Firefly, and Stable Diffusion to enhance design work
- Continuing to learn to use all Adobe software including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro and After Effects allowing you to create high-quality graphics.
What you'll learn
- Real industry experience; work with experts across strategy, creative, design, and digital teams
- Learn to become a master of PowerPoint design
- Learning the art of branding and what it takes to create a great visual identity
- Gain first hand experience of how AI is used in the workplace - learn how to use tools such as MidJourney, Adobe Firefly and Stable Diffusion to enhance design output
- Get a better grasp of utilising design software tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro and After Effects.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Some experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) – formal experience is great, but self-taught skills are welcome too
- An interest in all things design
- An understanding of social media and what works well for each platform
- A passion for design and an interest in PowerPoint presentation design, branding, and layout
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for good typography, clean layouts and polished presentations
- Curiosity about AI tools and how they can be used in design
- A proactive mindset – you’re keen to learn, contribute, and develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.
