This is a chance to play a pivotal role in shaping the delivery of innovative digital products at Bloomsbury Digital Resources. As digital programme coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of our digital product delivery process—driving schedules, optimising workflows, and ensuring smooth collaboration between internal teams and external vendors.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Influence efficiency and quality by improving processes and information flows.
- Work cross-functionally with product leads, innovation teams, and vendors to deliver impactful resources to academic markets worldwide.
- Develop expertise in digital publishing, project coordination, and vendor management, while gaining exposure to tools like JIRA, Smartsheets, and CMS platforms.
- Shape standards and best practices through documentation and knowledge management that supports transparency and consistency across teams.

Responsibilities
- Oversee product schedules and reporting, monitoring risks and resolving delivery issues
- Coordinate vendor outsourcing programmes and manage relationships to ensure timely delivery
- Optimise workflows and information flows to improve efficiency
- Support resource planning and maintain operational documentation for consistency and transparency
Knowledge, skills & experience
Essential:
- Highly organised with strong prioritisation and time management abilities
- Experience of working with a range of stakeholders, including across functions, to deliver results
- Experience of instructing and managing vendors
- Strong IT proficiency, especially MS Word and Excel
- Logical thinker, attention to detail and proactive problem solver
- Adaptable and eager to learn new systems and tools
- Confident and effective spoken and written communicator
- Understanding of digital product development and publishing processes
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Wikitext, JIRA (or similar ticketing tools), Smartsheets, CMSs and Biblio (or similar bibliographic databases)
- Understanding of the needs of the academic library market and library systems, including accessibility requirements
- Change management experience
- Experience of supporting request for proposal work with vendors
Additional information
The role is a full-time permanent position. The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). Allocated office days for this role are: Wednesdays and Thursdays.
