  • Commission and oversee submission of digital-first content, carrying out peer review where necessary and spearheading the creation of new pedagogical series.
  • Manage the editorial budgets for allocated projects, processing and recording invoices.
  • Act as an ambassador for Bloomsbury with external stakeholders and attend conferences where required.

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • A pro-active self-starter with a keen eye for the bigger picture and a creative drive to develop engaging products as BDR grows in suite of digital platforms.
  • Commercially astute with a familiarity with the emerging trends and challenges of the digital academic publishing market.
  • Strong editorial experience with a proven track record of commissioning content and achieving objectives.
  • A professional and enthusiastic attitude with experience working with authors and external third party partners to deliver content.
