This is a rare, entry-level opportunity to join PCR non-fiction, which is made of up three imprints: Piatkus non-fiction, which specialises in health, wellness and lifestyle publishing; Constable non-fiction, home to some of the biggest names in music, sport, politics and culture; and Robinson non-fiction, which encompasses commercial non-fiction, market-leading Robinson Psychology and the practical How To and cookery list. We publish an exceptional range of non-fiction, from Cal Newport to Carol Dweck, James Kerr to Ian Wright, and are a friendly, creative team who welcome input at all levels.


What you'll be doing

  • An exciting opportunity to join PCR, a division of the Little, Brown Book Group. This is a 12-month fixed-term entry-level position, perfect for someone enthusiastic and organised who wants to get started in non-fiction publishing.
  • The position offers the opportunity to work on three bestselling, high-volume and diverse lists. You will provide administrative and organisational support and assist in the smooth running of the editorial department.
  • This role will work on a wide variety of commercial and specialist non-fiction, within a friendly and collaborative team and training in the skills essential for a career as an editor. There will be on-the-job training in any systems and processes you are not familiar with.


Who we are looking for

The ideal candidate should be highly organised, efficient, creative, proactive and able to work as part of a large team, with excellent administrative and IT skills (Windows and Excel). A strong interest in non-fiction publishing and impeccable spelling and grammar are essential, as well as a meticulous eye for detail, good communication skills and the ability to manage their time, prioritise and work well under pressure.

The role will be based at our London office, Carmelite House, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
