Location: This is a remote role, with a requirement to travel for monthly team meetings in London.

This dynamic position supports the entire publishing journey – from author contracts to final publication – and helps maintain our essential systems along the way. The role combines administrative coordination with hands-on publishing tasks across multiple areas of the business, all while supporting our publishing operations to run smoothly and giving you comprehensive exposure to the full digital publishing life cycle.


Key responsibilities

Editorial and production

  • Overseeing the production process from copyedit to final files
  • Making and correcting ebook conversions
  • Scheduling freelancers
  • Proofreading copy
  • Setting up and managing projects using bespoke project management software
  • Managing print-on-demand (POD) cover production and uploads, and establishing records for new titles
  • Delivery of final files and metadata to retailers

Marketing and promotions

  • Collating and organising reader reviews
  • Developing and updating author and book profile pages across multiple platforms
  • Setting up promotions at retailers, recording and analysing promotional results

Contracts and administrative

  • Responding to website inquiries
  • Drafting and setting up standard author contracts
  • Processing and creating invoices and payment advice documents


Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Exceptional organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with database systems (Airtable experience preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently while juggling multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
  • Technical aptitude for learning new software
  • A strong working knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and English language conventions
