A unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in the creative industries!

We are looking for two emerging creatives based in Greater Manchester to join our team on a part-time basis (3 days a week) for up to 6 months. Emerging Creatives are people interested in working in the creative industries who are at, or near the beginning of their career in the arts.

Walk the Plank is one of the UK’s leading outdoor arts organisations with a reputation for creating innovative productions and performances which engage artists and communities in a wide range of outdoor settings.

Walk the Plank’s track record of making work that engages citizens in public celebration is founded on ambitious creativity that connects with everyone. From fire gardens and site-responsive installations to parades and festivals, the company consistently attracts acclaim and showcases talent.

This is an exciting time to join Walk the Plank, one of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations for 2023-26, and winner of several recent awards including: National Outdoor Events Association – ’Sustainability’, Access All Areas – ‘Best Operations’, Event Production Show – ‘Best Use of Tech’, Global Web Excellence – ‘Accessibility’ and ‘Cultural’, Salford Business Awards ‘Sustainability’ and ‘Best Small Business’.

You will learn by doing, shadowing others and gaining experience working with different teams. For example, you will spend time working with Producers and Production Managers, as well as with our Marketing Department and working on Walk the Plank’s projects. You will be supported by a Project Manager throughout your time with us.
