We are currently looking for an events and stewardship assistant to join our Development department on a full time permanent basis. 

The Southbank Centre is Europe’s largest arts centre and one of the UK’s top five visitor attractions, occupying an 11-acre site that sits in the midst of London’s most vibrant cultural quarter on the South Bank of the Thames.

The Development team is responsible for securing significant revenue income from a variety of public, private and commercial funding sources to support the ambitions of Southbank Centre, in close collaboration with all internal departments and external partners.

The Events Assistant will focus on delivering a programme of engaging events for supporters and prospects which engage them more closely with our charitable programme.

Working across the team but based within Philanthropy function the specific objectives for this role are:

  • To deliver an excellent standard of donor care by efficiently handling stewardship events and ticket requests, underpinning the long-term sustained support of our donors
  • To help us reach new supporters and retain existing ones by managing donor and prospect events of exceptional quality and which tell the Southbank Centre story
  • To help us communicate with supporters in timely and compelling ways about events and our wider charitable programme by handling invitations, RSVPs and e-comms
