Location: The role will be based at our London or Sheffield office, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week

What you'll be doing

  • Leading and supporting the assessment product management team to develop and deliver a cohesive and commercially impactful product strategy
  • Defining and implementing a clear roadmap aligned with organisational and customer-informed priorities
  • Using data and evidence to inform product decisions and evaluate outcomes
  • Collaborating with cross-functional team to ensure effective product development
  • Staying informed of global assessment and edtech trends, identifying opportunities to enhance our offer
  • Championing the needs of learners and educators, ensuring our products deliver meaningful value and measurable impact

Who we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced, commercially-driven and strategic head of product management to lead our assessment product portfolio during a 12-month cover. This is a key leadership position responsible for shaping and delivering a clear product vision that meets the evolving needs of learners, educators, and partners across the globe.

You will lead a team of product managers and guide the assessment product strategy and roadmap, ensuring it is informed by data, research, and customer insight. Working collaboratively across product management, technology and data, and sales, you will drive innovation and quality while maintaining a strong focus on educational impact and accessibility.

You will have a deep knowledge of the assessment market for Primary and KS3 in the UK as well as a good understanding of the international curricula market.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in strategic product management, delivering commercially-successful products, ideally within the assessment sector.
  • Demonstrable leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams.
  • A track record of commercial success, underpinned by evidence-based decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and analytical abilities.
  • A strong understanding of digital product development and familiarity with technical or data-driven projects.
  • Awareness of psychometric principles and the statistics underpinning standardised assessment.
  • Insight into the global education and assessment market, and how technology is shaping the future of learning.
