What you'll be doing
We are looking to recruit an experienced international education sales consultant to sell our highly regarded and successful range of courseware and teacher professional development publishing into the International and British schools’ market in Europe. The successful applicant will service English Medium instruction and international curriculum schools as well as local booksellers, resellers and distributors.
- You will seek out sales leads by calling and visiting schools, school groups and booksellers. Additionally you will regularly attend conferences and events to represent the brand and meet with your customers both nationally and internationally.
- You will work collaboratively with teachers and other education professionals to gain a thorough understanding of current teaching practices and future education trends. You will strive towards building a thriving partnership with your customers based on trust and offer them practical solutions through our range of products and resources across all Hachette Learning imprints, products and services.
- Your focus will be on maintaining excellent working relationships with schools to encourage loyalty and repeat custom.
- You’ll collaborate with the wider Europe, UK and International schools sales team and quickly become a positive and essential part of our growing and ambitious team.

- Full UK or European drivers license essential
Desirable
- Posses a strong understanding of/interest in the International education and/or professional development landscape, including key stakeholders, buying cycles, and decision-making processes
- Proven experience in a sales or teaching role in the education sector. Sales experience will preferably include a focus on educational publishing, ed-tech products or products supporting teachers continuing professional development
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and data analytics platforms
- Able to manipulate and analyse data to enhance sales performance
- A successful track record in schools/education sales
- Experience of working in the field, at home for a multinational publisher is an advantage

This role can be based at our London office with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week. Or in the UK at home (with regular attendance at one of our national offices as necessary), or the role could be based in the European market within the Hachette UK Structure.
