Simon & Schuster UK’s Group Sales team is looking for an enthusiastic and organised assistant to join their International Sales team.

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Asia, Sales Division, the International Sales Assistant will support the global S&S international sales team by providing administrative support as well as reporting, data analysis and marketing campaigns and contribute to the achievement of sales targets and liaising with internal marketing teams.

 

Responsibilities

The International Sales Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of roles supporting the global sales team. 

  • This includes distributing sales and marketing materials, customer orders, sales kits, creating and updating specific order forms, and managing the customer database. 
  • You will oversee and coordinate the International Sales webpage and customer resources site with the Customer Services Department at Harper Collins (UK) and Riverside (US). 
  • You will collaborate with the US Sales team, assist with trip preparations, prepare figures and presentations, orders for key accounts, and managing the marketing budget along with book fair coordination and preparation.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • The ideal candidate will be highly efficient, adept at prioritising and working to deadlines, and have a meticulous eye for detail. 
  • They will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal, an interest in analytics and a creative eye and good IT skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, InDesign and Photoshop). 
  • A strong grasp of grammar and communication skills are essential. 
  • You will have knowledge in international book markets and customers. 
  • Most of all we are looking for someone who is a team player and passionate about books.
