
International sales assistant

Salary: £27,000 based in London, £24,840 based outside of London
Location: This role can be based at our London or Sheffield office, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.

What you'll be doing
Reporting to the international sales director you will be required to:
- Provide administrative support to the international sales director
- Create and maintain sales material including order forms and PowerPoint presentations and email blasts, liaising with colleagues outside the department where required
- Provide general administrative support to the open market team including running all trip reports and providing cover when they are out of the office
- Deal with day-to-day customer support including processing orders and dealing with general queries
- Assist with general enquiries from the exclusive distributor for Singapore & Malaysia
- Be the point of contact for African customers and deal with orders and queries
- Produce sales data when required, including assisting with running and distribution of monthly reports
- Assist in the scheduling of any events for sales teams, customers or other groups, within agreed budgets and parameters
Who we are looking for
We’re looking for a strong team player who has excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail, an ability to multi-task and prioritise, and an enthusiasm for working in a fast-moving commercial environment. We need someone who is interested in publishing, loves books and can talk about them with conviction and passion.
You’ll need to be proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), and having a degree, publishing experience or any form of experience in an office environment would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be keen to learn new skills as well as have a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure tasks are completed and excellent customer service is provided.
