
International sales manager

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 dependent on experience and location (+benefits +bonus)
Location: The role will be based at our London or Sheffield office, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week

The Hachette international sales team is a high-performing, driven team working across 9 of our 10 publishing divisions. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting and growing part of our business.
What you'll be doing
Reporting into the head of sales for Europe, you will be responsible for Hachette UK and Hachette Book Group US sales into Western European markets including Benelux, France, Switzerland, Norway & Iceland. Key responsibilities will include:
- All aspects of account management including building client relationships, regular sell in presentations, monitoring performance and providing an excellent level of customer service
- Gathering and analysing sales data to inform regular business reviews with customers, spot trends and monitor sales closely
- Working within a set marketing and travel budget
- Achieving thorough product knowledge of all HUK & HBG US publications
- Product championing an allocated division(s) within the open market team and attending key internal meetings for that division
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a motivated team player who has previous account management experience and a proven track record in sales. Communication and prioritisation skills are a must as well as a passion for books and:
- Excellent customer relationship building and management skills
- Presentation skills
- Organisational and IT skills with a meticulous attention to detail
- Intelligent negotiation skills
- Commercial and results driven with an understanding of financial drivers
