Nosy Crow is a multi-award-winning, independent children’s publishing company. We began publishing child-focused, parent-friendly children’s books in January 2011 with the aim of creating books that encourage children to read for pleasure. We’re one of the country’s fastest growing publishing companies: we’re currently the 12th biggest publisher of children’s books in the UK.

Nosy Crow is looking to recruit an Inventory Assistant to support a dynamic and friendly team responsible for key operational tasks across our UK and US businesses. This is a full-time position and is a hybrid role, working a minimum of three days per week in our office near to London Bridge.

The role of the Inventory Assistant is to support the team in managing stock levels across the UK/US, and to help service the business by maintaining and distributing a suite of key reports. The assistant will also minute meetings and provide support on a wide range of tasks covering many aspects of the business.

Key responsibilities and tasks will include:

  • Supporting the Inventory Manager with the weekly stock meeting (UK & US)
  • Taking minutes and following up on action points
  • Biblio - creating PIs, managing prices and other ad hoc tasks
  • Raising POs for UK & US deliveries
  • Maintaining key reports
  • Tracking shipments and providing updates to key stakeholders
  • Warehouse stock and price checks
  • Checking, approving and tracking shipping invoices
  • Supporting fulfilment of our educational partners orders

Key skills, characteristics and capabilities:

  • Highly organised
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills – specifically excel
  • Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities
  • Can-do attitude and a willingness to help others
  • Some knowledge of Biblio would be desirable but not essential
