We are currently looking for a IT Programme Manager to join our IT department on a full time fixed term contract for 12 months. Joining the IT Team and reporting to the Director of IT, this is a Maternity Cover role focused on leading the end-to-end delivery of an ambitious portfolio spanning infrastructure and applications. This position requires a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on delivery to ensure projects are fit for purpose, on budget, and securely transitioned to operational teams.

What you'll be doing

  • Project Management & Delivery: Manage and administer the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects
  • Strategy and Reporting: Take full control of the IT project backlog, ensuring it is regularly updated, prioritised and transparent to all stakeholders
  • Strategy and Reporting: Support the development of an IT project management framework and roadmaps to ensure all technical delivery aligns with the Southbank Centre’s long-term strategic goals
  • Stakeholder Management: Identify and manage the interests and requirements of internal and external stakeholders in the IT environment to ensure excellent relationships, timely communication and resolve issues where necessary
  • Business Analysis: Work with stakeholders to identify areas of potential improvement in existing business processes and deliver agreed changes

Skills, knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrable IT project management experience including creation of project roadmaps
  • Experience of large IT-lead programmes
  • Ability to deliver clear reporting to multiple levels of stakeholders
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise a variety of projects simultaneously


The annual salary stated is based on the Full-Time Equivalent (40 hours per week). If the job is part-time, the weekly hours will be stated within the advert.
