  • Your organisational skills will be crucial as you maintain sales deadlines and ensure the timely delivery of materials through close collaboration with the editors and designers.
  • Take the lead in organising and maintaining sales material trackers, coordinating physical and digital material for book fairs, and facilitating internal cover review meetings to keep everyone aligned.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to support the editorial team, including:

  • Fact-checking,
  • Picture research,
  • Creating flatplans,
  • Taking in comments from proofreaders and consultants,
  • And leading the reprints process.

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • To succeed in this role, you should have proven administrative office experience, ideally within book publishing.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • We’re looking for a team player who thrives under pressure, balancing competing priorities while maintaining a keen attention to detail.
  • Adaptability and flexibility are key, as you will need to respond to changing requirements and project needs.
  • Proficiency in IT tools such as Google Suite and Excel will be vital in managing your tasks effectively.
  • A genuine interest in pop culture—whether it’s anime, manga, films, television, comics, music, toys, art, or tabletop games—will be a great asset in this role, although it is not essential.
