The Beautiful Truth is looking for a highly motivated and detail orientated junior media manager to join its Post Production team in Shoreditch, London.

The Beautiful Truth are strategic storytellers set up to help organisations understand, express and embed higher cause, meaning and direction in order to transform to a 'purpose first economy'. We have an editorial platform (thebeautifultruth.org) which explores the shift businesses need to make to the long term wellbeing of people and planet; and a creative consultancy (wearetbt.com) that helps organisations realise and embed it.

Our audience and clients are C suite, corporate affairs directors, internal comms directors, brand directors, HR directors, sustainability directors and the next generation of leaders globally.

2023 campaigns have included focuses on long term thinking, biodiversity, ethical investments, access to medicine, greener steel, and diversity and inclusion. Our current clients include ArcelorMittal, Pfizer, Novartis, Visa, Deloitte and many more.

Working within a small and close-knit team, the purpose of this role is to enable smooth flow in the post-production department within The Beautiful Truth Group and help with any technical problems that may arise. This position will offer invaluable insight into creative and technical workflow processes involved in short and long form film. It offers great opportunity for growth, with the potential to develop into a Video Editor in the future.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate their ability to be proactive and willingness to thrive in a small team environment and share their teammates work ethic.


Responsibilities

Assisting the team with:

  • File/data management – maintaining file organisation throughout the post-production department.
  • Operating the EditShare media asset management system. Creating and deleting virtual drives on the server, allowing access to producers, editors, and directors.
  • Ingest: Proxying, linking, copying, naming & logging footage
  • Putting data to & extracting data from archive
  • Assisting with QC
  • Updating post production spreadsheets
  • Managing 50+ hard drives
  • Going through old projects and archiving to LTO
  • Clip jobs
  • Clip research
  • Building and maintaining editors’ assets
  • Making review & presentation links for clients & producers


Knowledge, skills and experience

The candidate should have a strong passion for storytelling and video editing. Like the rest of the team, film will be at the core of their interests. They should have pre-existing understanding of the fundamentals of documentary storytelling, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Apple iOS user interfaces and video/audio codecs. They will thrive in a team environment and share their teammates work ethic and be able to demonstrate their ability to be proactive and calm in times of stress.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Adobe CC suite, especially Premier Pro, After effects and Media Encoder
  • Love and passion for documentaries.
  • Meticulous attention to detail. You must be able to ensure quality and adhere to standards.
  • Team spirit
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of video formats.
  • Good time management, staying organised and can support in keeping the project on schedule.


Compensation & Benefits

  • The salary bracket for this role is London Living Wage
  • Annual Holiday Allowance – 25 days plus bank holiday. After 3 years of employment, you are eligible for unlimited holiday.
