The gallery’s participation in international art fairs has further strengthened the representation of its artists, showing annually at Art Basel, Art Basel Hong Kong, Art Basel Miami, Art Basel Paris, Frieze London, Frieze New York, Frieze Los Angeles, TEFAF New York and West Bund Shanghai, among other fairs
The Junior Social Media & Content Officer supports the gallery’s social media output across key platforms, helping translate the exhibition programme and artist activity into clear, engaging digital content. The role focuses on drafting social copy, sourcing and adapting visual assets, moderating platforms and coordinating materials with internal teams and external stakeholders.The position sits within the Communications team and works closely with the Senior Director, Communications; Social Media & Content Manager; Social Media & Content Officer; and Video Editor / Producer, while collaborating regularly with the Digital & Audiences team.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Sourcing
- Draft clear and engaging social media copy reflecting the gallery’s tone of voice
- Support the digital presentation of exhibitions, artists and events across social platforms.
- Source images, editorial material and programme information from curatorial, photography, editorial and sales teams.
- Liaise with artist liaison teams and artist studios to ensure accurate representation of artworks and exhibitions.
- Adapt and prepare assets (images and video stills) for review and approval using templates and image editing tools.
- Ensure content aligns with the gallery’s visual identity and brand standards.
Platforms & Publishing
- Support day‑to‑day management of the gallery’s social media channels including Instagram, TikTok, Threads, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Schedule and publish content in line with the social media calendar and wider communications schedule.
- Ensure assets are correctly formatted and optimised for each platform.
- Organise and prepare digital materials for campaigns, exhibitions and events.
Community Management & Moderation
- Monitor and moderate comments and messages across social platforms.
- Respond to audience interactions in a professional and brand‑appropriate tone.
- Flag notable interactions, opportunities or issues to the Social Media & Content Manager and Social Media & Content Officer.
- Help maintain a positive and engaged online community around the gallery’s programme.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Liaise with curatorial, sales and artist liaison teams to gather accurate information and materials for social content.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders where required to confirm approvals and correct image crediting.
- Work with the Video Editor / Producer to support multimedia content creation.
- Attend and share action points for relevant internal meetings relating to exhibitions, campaigns and digital initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Early‑career experience in social media, digital communications, arts marketing or a related field.
- Strong writing skills and ability to draft clear, engaging social media copy.
- Excellent copy‑editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
- Understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Threads, YouTube and LinkedIn.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Interest in modern and contemporary art and White Cube’s represented artists.
Technical Skills
- Design / image editing in Adobe Photoshop.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling or management tools such as Later, NapoleonCat or similar platforms.
- Confident use of Microsoft Office and digital collaboration tools.
Working Hours
- Based at White Cube Bermondsey, London
- Office hours: 10am–6pm (flexible)
- Option to work remotely one day per week
