Salary: £36,000+ dependent on experience and location (+bonus +benefits)

Location: The role will be based at our London or Sheffield office, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.

 

We are looking for a creative, driven and motivated salesperson to maximise sales through Waterstones for Orion.

Reporting to the Orion Sales Director you will be working on a hugely exciting list across all of Orion's imprints. Our authors include Ian Rankin, Michael Connelly, Lorraine Kelly, Simon Sebag Montefiore, Jessa Hastings, Emily English, Brandon Sanderson & Stephanie Garber.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Achieving the Waterstones sales budgets across all Orion imprints
  • Fostering relationships with key Waterstones head office contacts and booksellers
  • Working closely with internal sales, marketing, editorial and publicity departments to drive Waterstones sales with enthusiasm, creativity and commercial expertise.

 

What we are looking for

  • A proven sales track record
  • Experience in Waterstones account management
  • Experience in building strong customer relationships
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK book market
  • Commercial awareness and strong analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to work as a team player
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills with a meticulous eye for detail
