We are currently looking for a Learning and Engagement Coordinator to join our Culture team on full time permanent basis.

The Southbank Centre is Europe’s largest arts centre and one of the UK’s top five visitor attractions, occupying an 11-acre site that sits in the midst of London’s most vibrant cultural quarter on the South Bank of the Thames. Its impact and reach are significant and it is respected internationally as a convener of great artists and diverse audiences and for being entrepreneurial and innovative in response to a volatile and changing financial landscape. The Southbank Centre is a charity that is determined to demonstrate its ambition to remain innovative, disruptive and experimental in what it does and to be highly relevant to the artists it wants to work with and to the audiences it wants to attract.

We are seeking a resourceful, motivated and solution focused Learning and Engagement Coordinator to support the Culture team in delivering our Strategic Objectives at the Southbank Centre.

The Culture team brings together expertise in Equity, Diversity & Inclusion, Internal Communications & Engagement, and Learning & Development to ensure a cohesive and intentional approach to our internal organisational culture. The Culture team sits within the wider People & Culture department, which also includes People Operations and People Partnering teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will work across a variety of responsibilities which include but are not limited to:
  • To contribute and support the mission, aims and objectives of the Culture team’s work.
  • To provide effective day-to-day support to the Culture team in the planning, delivery and smooth running of projects, training and events.
  • To be part of a team which is positive, energetic and mutually supportive.
  • Work within the team to support the Head of Culture, Internal Communications & Engagement Manager and our Learning & Development Manager.

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Experience of working in a HR team, Education, or as an Administrator.
  • An interest in or a desire to learn more about HR, Internal Communications and Engagement, Learning and Development, and Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Able to work flexibly as part of a team in a busy and fast paced environment.
  • Able to be organised and a skilled multi-tasker.
  • Able to manage your time whilst pro-actively communicating to key stakeholders to ensure clarity of deliverables.
  • Able to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Be confident in your written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to liaise with a range of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Able to to maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters.
  • Able to work within an ever changing landscape and with varying degrees of ambiguity.
  • Strong IT skills - we use Google so if you have used this before great. If not please be prepared and ready to learn a new system.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and trust
  • Able to work professionally to support circa 500 colleagues across the organisation who have a range of views, experiences and ways of working.
