BFI London Film Festival (LFF) runs an Industry & Professional Programme of screenings, events, networking and informal marketplace for around 3,500 film industry professionals alongside the main public festival.

We are looking for an Events Assistant to support with the logistical preparation and on-site event delivery for a wide variety of events at the BFI London Film Festival, including assisting the Industry Event Coordinator with delivery of Industry events to accredited delegates and helping the other Events Coordinators deliver a broad range of public facing events including talks, panels, workshops and DJ nights.

What you’ll do

  • Provide office-based administrative support during event pre-production, including updating information documents, Excel spreadsheets and the Festival database; collating guest list RSVPs; ordering event supplies; photocopying handouts and schedules; and completing other basic support tasks as required.
  • Assist with research around the programmed events and help identify suitable speakers, hosts and panellists for events and panels.
  • Take responsibility for the planning and delivery of selected smaller events, under the close supervision of the Events Manager, to support ongoing professional development.

What you’ll bring

  • Work experience gained within a cultural organisation, events or other related organisation, either in a paid or voluntary capacity.
  • Experience in delivering excellent customer service, managing issues diplomatically and resolving concerns with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Good administrative skills, with experience handling correspondence and emails, document management or database input.
  • An interest in working within a festival environment and a commitment to developing skills within the arts and events sector.
