An incredible opportunity to help plan and deliver LFF Expanded – the BFI's programme of immersive art, extended reality (XR) and gaming works.

We are looking for an Expanded Production Manager who, working closely with the Director of Festivals Business and Production and XR and Immersive Programme Lead, will manage and oversee production planning and logistical delivery of the BFI London Film Festival Broader Screen programme across both public-facing and industry-facing components.

BFI London Film Festival (LFF) runs an Industry & Professional Programme of screenings, events, networking and informal marketplace for around 3,500 film industry professionals alongside the main public festival.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead on the delivery of the festival’s public-facing XR, Immersive Art and videogames installations, through design, build and live event, in close collaboration with the Director of Festivals, Business and Production, XR and Immersive Programme Lead, partner venues and production partners.
  • Lead on the delivery of the festival’s industry facing activity for broader screen, including showcases, talks, and networking events, working in collaboration with Director of Festivals, Business and Production, XR and Immersive Programme Lead, and the Industry Programme Manager.
  • Liaise with artists to ensure their works are presented to the highest of standards, taking consideration for any special requirements and ensuring these are communicated and factored into the overall design of installations.
  • Manage centralised production, resource and team deployment planning for the Festival’s LFF Expanded Programme.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Extensive demonstrable experience in a similar role within a large festival, event or cultural exhibition environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of producing high-profile XR, Immersive Art or Videogames exhibitions or events.
  • A passion for, and working knowledge of, storytelling through immersive and/or gaming technology.
  • Expert knowledge in a broad range of studios, creators and artists working in the field of immersive technologies.
  • Excellent project management skills required to ensure the project milestones are met and progress is kept on track.
