Do you have experience coordinating guests or managing talent at events or festivals?
We are looking for a Guest Team Lead who, working closely with the Filmmaker and Industry Services Manager Festival Director and Guest Team colleagues, the Guest Team Lead will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality guest experience at the Festival.
BFI London Film Festival (LFF) runs an Industry & Professional Programme of screenings, events, networking and informal marketplace for around 3,500 film industry professionals alongside the main public festival.
Key responsibilities include:
- To be a key liaison regarding guest attendance and arrangements for a select number of sales agents and film distribution companies with films represented in the gala and special presentation sections.
- To oversee guest invitation process and arrangements for all films in the festival, with assistance from the Guest Coordinators and Guest Assistants. Ensuring all travel arrangements, screening schedules, ticketing and all other details are sent to guests and/or rights holders in a timely and meticulous manner.
- Ensuring guest travel and accommodation is delivered on budget, tracking projected spends across all guest costs.
- To input data concerning visiting filmmaker guests onto the established databases and ensure all amendments and updated information are inputted on a regular basis.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Significant experience in guest coordination or talent management working in film festivals, publicity or events.
- Knowledge of the international film industry and the UK distribution scene is desirable.
- Experience in team leadership and delegation.
- Knowledge of financial systems and administration.
- Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and to manage and meet changing deadlines.
