Support one of the UK’s biggest film festivals, welcoming audiences and keeping the BFI London Film Festival running smoothly.
We are a cultural charity, a National Lottery distributor, and the UK’s lead organisation for film and the moving image. We believe society needs stories. Film, television and the moving image bring them to life, helping us connect and understand each other better. We share the stories of yesterday, search for the stories of today, and shape the stories of tomorrow.
LFF is the UK’s leading film event and one of the world's major film festivals, attracting significant international industry participation. It’s also one of the BFI’s major cultural activities in the year introducing the finest global cinema to expanding London and UK-wide audiences.
We are now recruiting for a range of roles to support the production and delivery of the BFI London Film Festival. The festival runs from Wednesday 07 to Sunday 18 October 2026. Full-time and part-time hours available.
The brief
We are now recruiting Visitor Services Assistants to support our Front of House and Box Office between 01 September and 18 October 2026. We require all successful applicants to be available to work during the two weeks of LFF.
Every year we hire additional staff to deliver our successful annual London Film Festival. In the lead up to and during LFF, you’ll provide a first-class welcome to all visitors to the BFI Southbank complex including cinemas, studio, Mediatheque and other spaces. You’ll sell tickets and memberships, check tickets and control entry to the Film Theatres ensuring that safety, security and comfort are of excellent standards at all times.
Sounds great! Who are you looking for?
Our team relies on individuals who are passionate about cinema and love providing a first-class welcome for all visitors. We are looking for individuals who are proactive, have a customer-focused approach, are calm and cool under pressure, and are great team players. Importantly, we are committed to addressing the imbalances in representation in the film industry and strongly encourage applications from all our underrepresented groups.
