CPL Productions is a BAFTA award-winning independent television and radio production company run by Danielle Lux, Murray Boland, and Janet Oakes. At CPL Productions they create and produce engaging, modern entertainment, factual formats, and scripted television. From primetime entertainment to comedy, drama, and factual entertainment, their shows feature some of the UK’s best talent, both on and off-screen.

CPL Productions are seeking an operations assistant in this internship for an initial 6-month period. The purpose of the role is to support the operations manager in providing excellent technical, IT, administrative, and front-of-house support to all lines of business.

You will work within a team to provide and maintain high standards across all aspects of business support, working within a shift rota.


Key activities

Administrative

  • Adhere to best working practices as laid out in the Office Manuals. Report any amendments or updates that need making to these manuals to the Operations Manager.
  • Assist with processing of expenses and ad hoc administrative duties as and when required.
  • Assist Development and Production with run through and stand in support as and when required.
  • Ensure the internal CPL Hub is up to date.

Front of house

  • Reception duties; answering telephone calls, greet all guests and alert staff member of their arrival, making guests feel welcome while they wait.
  • While on Reception; receive all deliveries.
  • Ensure Reception area is kept clear or deliveries and is tidy and presentable at all times.
  • Stock monitoring and replenishment (stationery, food, toner, toiletry goods).
  • Building security unlocking and locking the building depending on shift.
  • Carry out weekly spot checks.
  • Making sure all copiers and printers are fully stocked with paper throughout the working day.
  • Ensure all incoming and outgoing post is handled and handled daily.

IT and telecoms

  • Assist staff with desktop IT support issues and work with the IT company on getting a resolution.
  • Ensure all new starters are set up with correct equipment and network access, reporting any issues/updates to the operations manager.
  • Ensure telephone directory is up to date.


What we're looking for

  • Extremely well organised.
  • Excellent IT skills; Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.

The post holder will have access to confidential information which may only be disclosed to parties entitled to receive it.

The post holder will be required to undertake any other duties according to the needs of the service.
