
Operations executive, Post Production Hub

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive operations executive to join our dynamic post-production hub. This role would suit a confident communicator who has experience of winning business.

Based in Digbeth, Birmingham, this role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the hub, managing resources, coordinating schedules and providing exceptional support to both internal teams and external clients. Reporting to the Production Executive, Scripted Drama Production, the Operations Executive will have extensive post production experience. You will be responsible for the design and delivery of post-production edit strategies across our content, and for developing business by seeking out and securing new clients for the hub.
You will ensure the smooth running of the building including managing and negotiating maintenance contracts and ensuring everything is where it needs to be when it needs to be. You will also oversee all staff and activity and be accountable for financial activity. A proven decision-maker, you will ensure the facilities are run efficiently with robust efficient processes to support.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Post Production department, effectively managing the team including management of staffing to ensure the building has the correct staff occupancies
- Work closely with the Production Executive to oversee the departments output and finances
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, to seek out and secure new business
- Manage & update rate cards and create and monitor quotes for external stakeholders offering attractive packages to use the Post Production hub
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing timely and professional support
- Manage project onboarding and offboarding, ensuring smooth transitions
- Manage client communication related to scheduling and resource availability
- Coordinate project deliveries and ensure all deliverables meet client specifications
- Stay abreast of industry developments; share knowledge and proactively seek out and adopt more effective ways of working and best practice to drive efficiency and attract business
- Proactively anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts to ensure maximum capacity and output
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date resource availability information
- Ensure building is run to, and building maintenance is kept to a very high standard
- Must be able to raise PO’s and manage stock of all requirements including consumables, stationary etc
Knowledge, skills and experience
- Experience of working in a leadership capacity within a Post Production environment.
- Extensive experience of budgeting and providing quotations for Post Production services.
- Have an interest in Scripted Drama.
- Inspiring and persuasive communicator with teams and stakeholders.
- Proactive problem solver who takes accountability for resolving issues.
- Collaborative approach and able to build positive relationships and achieve collective outcomes.
- Be a team player, it is a small team so must be willing to assist in any task with no job too big or too small.
- Creative strategist who will shape the design and delivery of Scripted Dramas vision for the Post Production hub.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
