This is a hands-on, in-person personal assistant role supporting the day-to-day work of an established recording artist and filmmaker.

This role balances close collaboration with independent working. At key moments, you’ll act as a body-double — working alongside me across creative spaces and more traditional office settings, as well as off-site meetings, public events, press days, photo and video shoots, and feature film locations.

At other times, you’ll work quietly in the background, keeping plans, schedules, and priorities moving.

You’ll help maintain momentum by tracking deadlines, sending timely reminders, interrupting hyper-focus when action is needed, and proactively taking tasks off my plate. The role requires strong instincts around when to be present and when to give creative space.

Think less “hovering assistant” and more calm, behind-the-scenes problem-solver especially when things get busy or chaotic.

Key responsibilities

  • Work alongside me in person, shadowing during meetings, events, and day-to-day activities
  • Manage diary, scheduling, reminders, and basic travel arrangements
  • Track tasks, follow-ups, and deadlines to keep daily operations on track
  • Take notes, draft simple emails, and communicate with collaborators as needed
  • Anticipate immediate needs and offer practical support proactively
  • Help maintain order and structure in day-to-day workflows
  • Complete general administrative tasks to keep everything running smoothly
  • Handle practical day-to-day tasks and time-sensitive errands as needed, either directly or by arranging appropriate support, allowing creative work to remain uninterrupted.

How this works in practice

My working style includes periods of deep creative focus, during which communication or time awareness may drop.

You will play a key role in maintaining structure and continuity: ensuring plans remain visible, priorities are revisited, and momentum is sustained even when I am temporarily absorbed in creative work. This is a supportive, practical function that enables creative output without compromising delivery.

Candidates who understand or have experience supporting people with ADHD are encouraged to apply.

What I’m looking for

  • Highly organised, proactive, and dependable
  • Emotionally intelligent, discreet, and calm under pressure
  • Has an understanding of ADHD and practical productivity strategies, or is open to learning and adapting their approach
  • Thrives in fast-moving creative environments
  • Comfortable switching between “creative energy” and “get it done” mode
  • Values being in the room and taking responsibility for smooth execution
  • London-based (north of the river preferred) and able to work in person

Experience in music, film, or creative industries is a bonus, but not essential.

Important: This is not a remote role, and virtual assistants should not apply. You’ll be working closely with me in real life, helping me keep things running smoothly both creatively and practically.

If this sounds like your kind of role, I’d love to hear from you. I’ll share a full role brief with more details once we connect!

We welcome and encourage applications from candidates who are under-represented in the creative industries.

Applications will be reviewed and initial interviews held on a rolling basis, so applying at your earliest convenience is encouraged.
