BBC Studios Bristol is looking for a skilled post production coordinator to support Series 59 of Gardeners’ World, the much-loved BBC Two series enjoyed by millions each week.

In this role, you’ll keep our fast-moving post-production operation running smoothly, managing schedules, coordinating editor bookings, and keeping a close eye on budgets for our weekly episodes. You’ll be working alongside a talented production team and presenters led by Monty Don, with filming taking place across the UK and at Longmeadow. This role focuses exclusively on managing the post-production schedule and editor bookings for the series which airs weekly. It’s a key position requiring strong organisational and budgeting skills, with meticulous attention to detail.


Responsibilities

  • Manage the edit schedule, working with the forward planning team, in order to schedule the video tape and stitch edits
  • Be the contact between the post house and the production team
  • Attend the weekly Online, in order to complete reversions for deliverables to All3Media and Britbox
  • Complete international version paperwork
  • Liaise with producer directors (PDs) & editors on availability for edits
  • Book & contract editors
  • Manage the day to day post costs, running a cost monitor and reporting to the production manager on a bi-weekly basis
  • Check that music within the programme is non-MCPS and can organise replacements for international versions where required
  • Complete credits and billings
