Location: This role can be based at our London or Sheffield office, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.

Responsibilities

  • Using Biblio to spec up, cost and order titles along with running reports to track their progress
  • Working with key internal stakeholder and external suppliers to deliver high quality products on time and within budget
  • Processing invoices
  • Maintaining schedules and prioritising tasks
  • Correcting and archiving files on Biblio DAM
  • Produce eBooks when title needs updating and/or correcting
  • Supporting the Head of Production, Production Manager and Senior Production Controllers on key projects eg print on demand and ASR (automatic stock replenishment)
  • Testing system updates and new releases for Biblio

 

Who we are looking for

Someone who is…

  • Looking to expand their prior book production experience ideally from a trade publisher. This would be ideal for a Production Assistant looking to step up.
  • A natural communicator – confident in building strong relationships with colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Capable of working in a busy team environment where you are encouraged to work collaboratively
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • A creative problem solver who can offer up solutions to ensure books are cost effective, delivered in a timely fashion and remain on budget
  • Meticulous about detail and able to complete tasking with thoroughness, accuracy and consistency
