Working pattern: This role offers hybrid working (minimum three days per week in the Bristol office) and will be a freelancer PAYE contract. Limited location work required.

Start date: The successful candidate will need to be available to start in late November 2025.


BBC Studios’ Entertainment Unit in Bristol is looking for a production coordinator to join one of BBC’s flagship programmes - Countryfile.

This long running weekly series films across the UK all year round, producing 52 episodes annually with a large team working across numerous elements.

As production coordinator, you’ll play a key role in the day to day running of the production, working closely with the JPM, Line Producer and editorial colleagues in a busy, fast-paced environment. You’ll confidently manage filming logistics, locations, and filming budgets for teams travelling across the UK, ensuring shoots run smoothly and efficiently. With a large team and high volume of filming throughout the year, we’re looking for someone who can anticipate challenges, think on their feet, and bring strong problem-solving skills when plans change.

PM team structure – LP, JPM, X4 coordinators, x3 PMA’s – filming all year round, working with the PM team covering an episode every 3 weeks.


Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Excellent logistical and organisation skills
  • Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience setting up UK-based shoots, ensuring compliance
  • Confident in managing and forecasting budgets & contributing to scheduling
  • Understanding of copyrights & clearances processes, with the ability to escalate issues when required
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication skills
  • Commitment to supporting sustainability initiatives and helping Countryfile deliver on its environmental ambitions
  • Proactive in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, escalating concerns when needed
  • Demonstrate an understanding of post-production processes
