Location: Cardiff, Roath Lock - travelling to various UK locations throughout the filming period will be required. It is expected that team members work from the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

Contract: PAYE

Start date: Mid-November (ranging from 6-12 months), interviews will take place w/c Mon 29th September


Step behind the scenes of one of the nation's favourite shows in this production role, supporting location shoots and collaborating closely with crew and talent to keep filming on track.

Bargain Hunt is BBC One’s popular daytime antiques series. Broadcast almost every day of the year, Bargain Hunt has been one of the nation’s favourite shows for over 26 years, delivers a minimum of 96 x 45 minute programmes a year and regularly attracts up to two million viewers. The series films throughout the year at various locations around the UK. Our production management team consists of – unit manager, junior production manager and 4 x project management assistants (PMAs). Each PMA will be assigned an antiques fair and auction location to set up on a rotational basis according to the filming schedule. We are currently recruiting for 2 new PMAs to join our busy production team in Cardiff. We’re looking for candidates who possess excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities and a can-do attitude. We want to hear from a diverse range of people with varying experience at production management assistant or production secretary level within the industry.


Responsibilities

  • Liaising with external suppliers, talent, contributors and members of the public on location
  • Handling and reconciling production advances for location filming
  • Working closely with the director, researcher and business affairs team to ensure all archive is fully clearable whilst using judgement to escalate when necessary
  • Booking freelance camera/sound crew for each location
  • Arranging travel and accommodation for the production team, talent and crew
  • Assisting with the team of runners on location
  • Being proficient at prioritising, delegating and managing a heavy workload especially in a high pressure and fast paced environment
  • Desirable: experience in completing paperwork on Silvermouse – not essential as training will be provided
