
Regional sales manager
Remit: West Country, Wales, West Midlands and the South Central

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending experience
We’re looking for a passionate and knowledgeable salesperson to join Bonnier Books UK Sales team.
If you have a deep love of books, a solid understanding of the publishing world, and a talent for connecting with people, we’d love to hear from you.
In this role, you’ll build relationships with booksellers, promote a range of titles across our adult and children’s, fiction, and non-fiction lists, and ultimately, put our books into the hands of as many booksellers and readers as possible.
Key responsibilities
- To manage and nurture relationships with a variety of independent bookshops and businesses, visiting them on a regular basis to present our titles.
- Day to day account management, dealing with a variety of requests from our customers in a timely manner.
- Support our publicity department in arranging and the management of local bookseller events and author tours.
- Liaising with internal departments (e.g. marketing, operations, distributors) to assist in the effective day to day running of the field sales operation.
- Look for new sales opportunities and ways in which we can expand our business.
Qualifications and experience
- A clean driving license is essential
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Established sales and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently in a pressurised environment.
- A passion for books and ability to identify the current trends in the industry
- An understanding of the UK book market
- Proven experience in sales within a bookselling environment
