The purpose of this role is to support the provision of a fully inclusive resourcing service to hiring managers and deliver a positive and responsive application and onboarding experience for all candidates who apply for a vacancy at the National Theatre. Ensuring that we demonstrate equality, diversity, and inclusion within all our recruitment processes and hiring practices by supporting the Resourcing Manager to facilitate the recruitment process for the National Theatre.

What you'll be doing

  • Taking responsibility for all scheduling (e.g., interviews, assessment days, for candidates)
  • Managing the applications and applicant tracking process.
  • Helping organise interviews and book rooms where appropriate.
  • Providing a shortlist of qualified candidates to hiring managers.
  • Ensuring all recruitment activity meets equality, diversity and inclusion standards within recruitment processes and hiring practices.
  • Maintaining all recruitment records with utmost confidentiality and in line with GDPR.
  • To be the main point of contact for candidates, keeping them up to date on their application and in the know about what is expected from them at different stages.
  • Taking responsibility for the overall candidate experience and providing a friendly and engaging experience from beginning to end.
  • To be the main point of contact for internal teams on recruitment-related matters (e.g., supporting with drafting job descriptions, confirming candidate details, preparing for hiring meetings, highlighting VISA considerations).
  • Supporting internal teams to ensure an efficient recruitment process from start to finish
  • Working closely with the Resourcing Manager and People Business Partners on recruitment projects, sourcing, candidate management and process improvements.
  • Maintaining the National Theatre recruitment trackers and prepare reports on a weekly basis for the tasks completed or in progress.

What we are looking for

  • Experience of writing and communicating in a clear way to ensure the provision of an excellent resourcing service.
  • Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience of proactively identifying where practices can be improved and proposing solutions to manage them.
  • Experience of working on tasks independently.
  • Experience of working effectively under pressure and managing multiple priorities, with good time management skills and with accuracy and attention to detail
