Are you a detail-oriented rights assistant ready to explore working with French markets or an experienced sales assistant with a customer-focused background seeking a new challenge? 

DK is looking for a creative and enthusiastic individual to join our International Rights team.

This exciting role involves working closely with the Rights Managers to primarily engage with French-speaking territories (amongst others). You will collaborate with Editorial, Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams, and have an opportunity to connect with top foreign publishers. Additionally, you will support and liaise with Production to ensure the smooth running of projects and be at the forefront of developing exciting new books and new projects.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the sales team with titles on various territories including France and Québec. 
  • Proactively solve problems and answer questions about files, schedules, processes, and feedback from editors and translators.  
  • Ensuring smooth printing processes and adherence to budget by working closely with production colleagues.  
  • Supporting administrative duties, including drafting contracts and invoicing).  
  • Monitoring relevant systems, ensuring all information and dates are current, and generating necessary reports.  
  • Working with Sales Operations and Creative teams for deal or translation approvals and title updates.  

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

This busy role is ideal for a solution-focused self-starter who can meet tight deadlines, multitask, and stay proactive. Key requirements include:

  • Previous experience of working in a customer service role  
  • Proven administrative experience with strong attention to detail and positive can-do attitude  
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships

French and German language skills are desirable but not essential.
