What you'll be doing
The Sales Support UK and Europe plays a business‑critical role in supporting the UK & EU Schools and Trade Sales teams, ensuring they are equipped with accurate information, effective sales materials and reliable operational support. Acting as a central point of coordination between Sales, Marketing, Data and Operations, the role enables smooth execution of sales activity, high‑quality customer engagement and strong commercial outcomes.
With a particular focus on supporting UK trade customers, the role helps ensure timely communication of new title information, high standards of data accuracy, and consistent sales support processes.Through efficient administration, problem‑solving and cross‑team collaboration, the Sales Administrator contributes directly to sales effectiveness, customer confidence and revenue growth across the UK, with light‑touch support to Europe.
The role will be focused 90% on UK Sales activity and 10% on European.
Sales Support – UK (c. 90%)
- Ensures the UK Sales team is fully equipped to promote and sell our resources to schools, colleges, trade customers and distributors.
- Make sure Sales Consultants and Sales Managers have all required materials: sales information, samples, brochures, POS, display items, business cards and stationery.
- Coordinate preparations for conferences, school events, trade visits and exhibitions—ensuring the correct kit, display materials and stock are supplied.
- Support the booking, organisation and administration of UK sales events, school visits, webinars and team meetings (virtual and in‑person).
- Maintain and update relevant content on the Sales Hub in partnership with the Marketing team.
- Be the key point of contact between Sales and central teams (including IT, Operations and Customer Services) to resolve issues, requests or equipment needs.
- Process follow‑up tasks from conferences and events, including CRM updates, data entry and lead management.
- Act as an operational point of contact for UK trade customers, supporting clear and timely communication of new title information, availability and key selling details.
- Coordinate the preparation and circulation of trade‑facing title information and metadata reports, ensuring accuracy across pricing, ISBNs, formats, specifications and publication dates.
- Liaise with Marketing, Metadata, Supply Chain and Customer Services teams to resolve trade queries and maintain high standards of data quality.
- Support Trade Sales Managers with customer‑specific title lists, sales materials and basic performance data to enable effective account management.
- Assist Heads of Sales with the generation, organisation and distribution of sales data and reporting.
Sales Support – Europe (c. 10%)
- Provide mirrored administrative and logistical support to the Europe Sales activity, reflecting UK processes at an appropriate scale.
- Coordinate light but regular tasks such as maintaining contact lists, sending sample materials, updating CRM records and preparing basic sales information.
- Support the Europe Sales Manager with occasional event, visit or meeting administration (typically equivalent to around half a day per week).

Skills/Knowledge:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer‑service mindset, with confidence dealing with senior school and trade stakeholders.
- Ability to multi‑task and prioritise conflicting deadlines.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency across MS Office applications, including Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Confident working with internal colleagues at all levels and across departments.
- Experience in administrative or sales‑support roles is desirable but not essential.
- Enthusiasm for education and supporting teachers and learners.
- A proactive, energetic self‑starter who enjoys taking ownership.
- Thrives as part of a busy and collaborative team.
- Highly organised, reliable and solution‑focused.
- Strong communicator who brings clarity and calm to busy workflows.
Experience
- This role does not require prior experience in publishing or sales support, as full training will be provided. It would particularly suit someone who enjoys administrative work, is highly organised, and is comfortable managing a varied and busy workload.

The role will be based at our London office, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
