STV is Scotland’s home of news, entertainment, and drama, serving audiences with quality content on air, online, and on-demand. STV’s broadcast channel reaches 3 million viewers each month, while STV Player is now pre-installed in three-quarters of the UK’s connected TV homes.

STV Studios are looking for an experienced Shooting PD for a returning factual series. Please note, we are waiting final confirmation of the series. Previous experience of shooting across the UK on high volume programmes is essential for this role.

We aim to meet with shooters who have a track record of bringing fantastic stories to life on screen. 

Knowledge, skills and experience

• The ideal candidate will be able to lead a team on location, create a great rapport with the contributors they are filming and maintain strong communication with the Series Producer and production team.
• We are looking for a creative PD who is able to forward-plan shoots, understands how to put together sequences and is able to pivot their way of working if needed for the production.
• Shooters should have at least 3 credits at PD level.
