We are looking for a talented and experienced senior designer to join The Bright Agency. 

The Bright Agency is a global agency that nurtures passionate, gifted artists and authors.

As part of a small, dynamic team, you'll work closely with the CEO and Senior Managers to create high-quality design solutions for branding, style guides and pitch decks for print and digital creative assets.

Your portfolio will show a range of beautifully crafted designs for branding and pitching projects where you have led the work and been involved in conception. It will demonstrate that you are a creative and strategic thinker who loves getting into the design details and has a flair for creating design concepts in a visually effective and engaging way. You will be a team player who is ready to get stuck in and confident in communicating and presenting ideas.

 

Key deliverables

  • Responsible for the creative execution and delivery of brand vision, style guides and pitch decks.
  • Working to brief, budget and deadlines and taking concepts from inception to completion.
  • Skilled in creative problem solving with a willingness to take risks and push boundaries but with this willingness grounded in a strong commercial awareness.
  • Create and push for the highest standards of work in design and visual communication.
  • Find solutions that are creative and support business objectives.
  • On top of industry and market trends.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in new business developments such as creating lookbooks for new licensing projects, delivering curated lightboxes, producing client and in-house presentations etc.
  • Creating portfolio sheets for trade shows, and liaising with freelancers when producing larger volumes of the portfolio sheets.
  • Producing and managing internal assets for corporate and internal branding, agency guidelines etc.
  • Creating and implementing deadlines, project goals, expectations and workflows, to ensure a smooth process with on-time delivery.
  • Managing procurement of print, large format production,  and organising deliveries.
  • Curating image libraries and video, artwork and branding assets. Ensuring files are stored and named according to protocols.

 

This role will include:

  • Internal Stakeholders: Across the agency; CEO, the Board, Marketing and agency management
  • External Stakeholders: Print and Design companies and other third parties as required

 

Knowledge, skills and experience

  • Design experience (ideally within the Publishing / Licensing environment)
  • Experience working with small and large clients that mix between corporate, startup and boutique.
  • Strong verbal and visual narrative and presentation skills.
  • A degree in a design-related field.
  • Has great experience in branding and building visual narratives and solid experience in designing creative assets for branding, pitch decks and style guides within the Publishing / Licensing / Creative industry.
  • Demonstrates strong experience in a previous graphic design role with a focus on branding, gained in environments delivering high quality, innovative and successful creative solutions across a wide variety for print and digital creative assets.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality concepts for branding, pitch decks and style guides.
  • Brand-focused designing the best and most effective creative solutions for the agency.
  • Strong computer literacy, highly proficient in Adobe CS suite including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Understanding of design, prepress print processes for the development of concepts and press-ready artwork.
  • Hands-on graphic design, typography, compositional and technical skills.
  • Confident when presenting and pitching ideas to key stakeholders.
  • A creative and strategic thinker with good business sense.
  • Takes initiative and brings ideas to the table.
  • Is reliable, organised, enthusiastic and a team player.
  • Is organised, efficient and comfortable adapting across varying budgets and deadlines.
  • Able to generate unique and original ideas and to present work at different stages of a project.
  • Confidently communicates ideas and responds well to feedback.
  • Comfortable to work on their own as well as collaboratively as part of a team. You will be a team player, supporting your team members when required.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, is adaptable and is comfortable with change.
  • A super strong creative flair, detail-focused but with an eye on the big picture.
  • You can take direction and are willing to listen, learn and share ideas with the team.
