Do you know your Diplodocus from your Brachiosaurus? Or your Ancient Egypt from your ancient Egypt? We’re looking for a talented and organised senior editor to join our small creative team in London!

Neon Squid publish beautifully illustrated non-fiction books for kids aged 5 to 14. Recent highlights include Tales of Ancient Worlds by archaeology YouTuber Stefan Milosavljevich, We Need to Talk about Vaginas by Dr Allison K. Rodgers and Secrets of the Forest by Alicia Klepeis.

We are looking for a Senior Editor who can come up with great new ideas and formats, find exciting authors, manage multiple books at once, train junior members of staff, and be capable of getting poo jokes into even the most serious of topics. They must have a strong visual eye and will work closely with our designers.

As we’re a small team this will be a hands-on and varied role, with a chance to shape the direction of our young imprint. The successful candidate must be an experienced children’s non-fiction editor capable of working effectively in a busy environment and managing schedules and budgets.
