Salary: £28,000 pa

Location: The role is based at our London office 50 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3DP on a hybrid-working pattern of 2 days office based / 3 days home based (or fully office based if preferred). Allocated office days for this role are: Mondays and Tuesdays

Take your first step into book production, supporting the delivery of Bloomsbury’s adult publishing list.

Bloomsbury publishes a prestigious international list of trade and specialist fiction and non-fiction titles. We are looking for a highly motivated hard-working individual with a particular interest in print production to join our busy Adult Production team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring production professional to learn and grow within the industry.

The role
Reporting to the Adult Colour Production Manager, key tasks will include costing and processing mainly colour and some mono reprints, some colour frontlist and some POD along with providing administrative support to the team.

Knowledge, skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have:

  • excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • proven IT skills (knowledge of Word and Excel essential)
  • a keen eye for detail
  • some production experience on either mono or colour books

Additional information

The role is a full-time permanent position.

This position is eligible for Bloomsbury’s Rental Deposit Loan Scheme. To assist candidates who want to start and to establish a career in publishing, Bloomsbury offers an interest-free rental deposit to support securing somewhere to live. The rental deposit loan can be up to £3,000 and will be paid back over 2 years.
