Key responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the Skills Team and relevant external stakeholders to identify a small annual programme of bespoke skills seminars/events, with a view to piloting approaches and testing sector appetite for a larger scale skills conference
- Liaise with venues (internal and external), hospitality, and technical teams in a timely fashion to ensure event bookings and logistics are managed in line with event timetables
- Work closely with the Film Academy team to coordinate an annual event showcasing Film Academy alumni aged 16 to 25 years old, working within the parameters of the BFI’s safeguarding policy
- Support the coordination of the dedicated festival programme for the BFI Careers Festival including timetabling, booking speakers for talks, masterclasses and festival contributors
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Demonstrable experience of using databases and collecting/collating data.
- Proven experience of effective and supportive team working and working cross-departmentally in a busy environment.
- Demonstrable experience of coordinating programme activities/schedules for events and managing concurrent work streams.
- Experience of basic finance procedures such as raising and processing purchase orders and setting up new suppliers on a finance system.
