Wanted! Dynamic, film-loving individual to join the talented, international team at Intermission Film London - an award-winning creative agency that specialises in audio-visual and design for the entertainment industry. Intermission strives to create iconic campaigns that capture the imagination of a global audience.
This is an opportunity to join our dynamic Print design team who have made a significant mark on the industry in a short space of time. We are working on a large range of exciting key art campaigns across film and TV, from concept to shoot to delivery. You will join a team passionate about challenging the status quo of poster design and drawing from a wide range of influences. Working to support the studio across several projects simultaneously, this role will require self-motivation, excellent time management and the discipline to cope with fast turnarounds and hard deadlines. You will receive support from our team of art directors, helping you to develop your understanding of posters. You will also be required to carry out basic office and design studio support tasks.
This is an entry-level role and is open to anyone with a keen ambition and desire to become a Film Poster designer. Prior experience in the industry is not required, though a passion for film and entertainment is essential.
This role is in-person and office-based.
What you will be doing…
Design Team Responsibilities
Support the design team through the concepting and development of creative key art campaigns. This will include tasks such as:
- Assisting with creative research, sourcing references for mood boards and shoot decks, reaching out to photographers
- Putting together feedback decks, presentation decks and portfolio decks
- Writing up feedback during studio reviews for designers to reference
- Organising materials, making photographic selects, assisting with archiving assets
- Reading scripts and putting together script summaries and character breakdowns
- Researching and booking freelancers, raising POs
- Researching clients upcoming slates
- Design work on selected projects, including preparing assets, basic comping, putting together templates, picking up tweaks from other designers and concepting where time allows
- With training, artworking and delivery of projects, including printing
- Liaise with the Office Manager to ensure the Print studio is functioning smoothly and always looking its best. You will be required to carry out these tasks proactively and not wait to be asked.
- Daily office set-up and end-of-day tasks (e.g. dishwashers, bins)
- Ensure the office, kitchen, and meeting room look tidy, presentable and are well-stocked at all times
- Undertake any deliveries or general errands as directed
- Support with the upkeep of our other office locations as and when needed, e.g. Luch or holiday cover
Office Upkeep

What we need from you…
- Passionate about film/entertainment with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- A proactive, flexible and creative approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well as part of a team and create positive and impactful working relationships
- Good organisational skills, with an eye for accuracy and attention to detail
- Discreet and tactful with an understanding of the need to maintain confidentiality and data protection good practice
- Basic understanding of Photoshop
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace and any of the remaining Adobe suite is a plus
- A graphic design degree is preferred, but not essential
- A proven passion for design
