You will ensure operational continuity by providing cover for the Production Applications Lead, Technical Manager, and Vision Engineer roles, while prioritising safety through risk assessments and managing workshop logistics like stock control and spare parts. Beyond daily operations, the role involves liaising with suppliers and internal departments such as ProVision, conducting technical quality assessments of master material and production improvement through project work.

Knowledge, skills & experience

  • Demonstrable experience with the technical requirements of studio & post production
  • HND/degree or equivalent (or currently studying) in a relevant subject
  • A working knowledge of broadcast engineering systems used throughout the production chain is essential with applied experience of post production systems
  • Cloud workflow deployment experience is desirable
  • AI prompting, analysis and risk interpretation knowledge
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, with an ability to build successful working relationships at all levels and must be able to work as part of a team
  • An ability to assess accurately the likely time taken to resolve a fault or breakdown so production staff & clients can be advised correctly
  • Ability and flexibility to adapt to an ever-changing environment
  • Resilience and the ability to work under pressure
  • IT skills, involving networking broadcast equipment, understanding of time addressable media, low latency networking, IP standards
  • An excellent understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
