Contract type: Full-time, permanent contract

Start date: Immediate, subject to notice.

Join a small, dynamic team, assisting with the day-to-day running and promotion of creative writing courses for aspiring writers.

We're the writing school founded by the major literary and talent agency. Curtis Brown Creative has been helping writers tell their stories for over 14 years. We launched in 2011 with our flagship London-based Writing Your Novel courses with the aim of finding talented writers, and helping them to get the best out of their writing and to develop their novels to their full potential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a smart newcomer to join the small team at Curtis Brown Creative, a writing school which provides innovative and highly successful creative writing courses to aspiring writers, online and in London.

This role centres on the smooth running of our online and London-based courses, as well as our new online membership programme and our Breakthrough Writers’ Programme for under-represented writers. Your focus will be on course administration and student care, supporting the work of our Courses Management Team. You will also help support the Marketing and Digital Team, assisting with the creation of social media and website content. You’ll answer queries from our growing community of aspiring writers and students through our student queries inbox, social media channels and phones calls.

We are currently using a hybrid working pattern which involves 2-3 days per week working in central London and the remainder of the week working from home, subject to ongoing review.

We aim to build a creative environment that celebrates the differences of our students and colleagues, offering equal opportunities regardless of gender, race, socio-economic background, age, disability, sexual orientation and national origin. In our role as conduits and champions of cultural expressions we are conscious of our responsibility to reflect the world around us. This means making a considered effort to create an inclusive culture in the workplace and promote opportunities for the broadest possible range of talent. We welcome all applications from people with interesting ideas, skills and experience.

You must be either a British citizen or already have the right to work here (you will be asked to provide original documentation as evidence of this). Unfortunately, Curtis Brown Creative is unable to help with work permits, finding accommodation or travel costs.
