The Properties Group encompasses the departments of Estates, Facilities, Health & Safety and Security, Projects, Sustainability, and Planning & Licensing all reporting to Director, Warren Forsyth. It is responsible for the maintenance, development, and strategic planning of the Southbank Centre’s site and facilities. We are currently looking for a Technical Services Manager to join our Facilities team on a full time, permanent contract.
What you'll be doing
The Technical Services Manager is responsible for providing technical leadership and operational management of all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services and integrated security systems across the Southbank Centre. This includes ensuring that all MEP infrastructure and specialized security assets - including Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, Turbonet and CCTV - meet the highest professional standards, fully comply with statutory requirements and maintenance protocols, and support the Centre’s mission, operations, and visitor safety.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred however technical trade school certification would be considered.
- Minimum of 10 years practical experience as a MEP engineer in building maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing systems, BMS, Fire Protections systems and security systems.
