
Trainee prop hand (EastEnders)
Salary: Proposed salary range - £28,471 (including London Weighting). Salary is dependent on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Develop practical TV production experience with the EastEnders props team, supporting filming through prop preparation, organisation and continuity.

Do you have a passion for Drama and want to experience what it’s really like working behind the scenes on a major TV production? This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the EastEnders Props team, learning how props are prepared, managed and used to help bring stories to life on screen. Working alongside experienced professionals, you’ll gain valuable insight into how the props department supports the wider design and production teams in a fast-paced filming environment.
What you'll be doing
- You’ll assist with preparing, organising and delivering props to set, helping to ensure everything is ready for filming.
- You’ll also support the set-up and clear-down of scenes, while helping maintain continuity by ensuring props remain consistent across shots and are always in the right place at the right time.
This role offers a unique chance to see how different departments collaborate to create realistic and engaging on-screen environments.
In addition, you’ll help with the general upkeep of props and storage areas, ensuring everything is organised, safe and ready for use. Your skills and experience
Essential
- Demonstrated passion for television production, particularly within drama and props
- Some experience of working with props and/or production design, whether that be professionally or from academic studies or courses.
- Demonstrable willingness to learn, with a proactive and self-motivated approach to tasks
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from others
- Experience of working comfortably in physically demanding environments, including lifting and manual tasks
Desirable
- Full, clean UK driving licence and flexibility to work in a fast-paced production setting
