UTA scholarship for TV screenwriters with low income
We are excited to announce this new scholarship enabling one writer to join us in London for our Writing TV Drama – Three Months course.
This scholarship is sponsored by the UTA Foundation, the non-profit organisation operated by United Talent Agency. Founded in 2004, the UTA Foundation raises awareness on social issues, provides resources to nonprofits, and implements social good programs.
UTA is a global talent agency based in Beverly Hills, California. Established in 1991, it represents artists and other professionals across the entertainment industry. In June 2022, UTA acquired The Curtis Brown Group.
One talented writer with limited financial means will receive a fully paid place on this course, led by award-winning writer, producer and director Jamie Nuttgens, with three masterclasses from TV professionals.
- Travel Stipend: The scholarship winner will be given a travel stipend (up to the value of £250) to contribute to the cost of travelling to attend classes in central London.
- Final Draft: The scholar will also receive a digital download of the latest version of the premier screenwriting software Final Draft (worth £181).
