Keen to kickstart your creative career in TV? These paid traineeships across design, costume, make-up, sound and location offer the chance to gain hands-on experience and build your network while working on a high-quality production.

BBC Studios Drama Productions is excited to hear from West Midlands based talent who are interested in trainee opportunities in drama - this time on our much beloved cosy crime show - Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators.

Our shows rely on large, highly skilled crews. This pipeline of talent is critical to the success of our productions and we are passionately committed to supporting the next wave of new entrants into the industry as the film and TV sector in the West Midlands continues to grow. Our trainees learn on the job, working alongside peers and mentors with years of experience, knowledge and expertise.

Training opportunities create pathways into the world of scripted drama. Trainees spend time on set and on location, while learning the skills required for their chosen department. They start to build experience and develop an understanding of what it takes to have a successful, rewarding career in TV drama. Our trainee roles on Shakespeare & Hathaway will cover various areas of production including design, make-up, costume, sound and locations, with opportunities to learn skills in a range of settings and experience working on a high end TV drama and cosy crime production.
