The Line is looking for a project manager to join its team to manage the delivery of a programme of ambitious site-specific public art commissions co-produced with local people between 2022-2024.
The Line is London’s first dedicated art walk. The Line exists to connect communities and inspire individuals through an outdoor exhibition programme where everyone can enjoy art, nature and heritage for free. The route runs between Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and The O2, following the waterways and the line of the Greenwich Meridian.

This new series of commissions will be developed through community consultation and engagement, with all stages developed with local input. The project manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the commissioning process, from the conceptualisation and planning phase through to the fabrication and installation of each work. Working closely with The Line’s Co-Founder and Director and Senior Management Team, the project manager will also need to work closely with local authorities, landowners, community organisations and residents. Community engagement in the planning, design and implementation of projects is a central focus of the role and you will be required to work with a dedicated engagement coordinator on this.
The project manager will also support with the delivery of a new site-specific audio commission and additional exhibition programmes on the route.
 
Responsibilities
Collaborative planning and community engagement:
<ul>
<li>Work with representatives of the London Borough of Newham, project designers and architects, community organisations and residents to develop artist briefs in response to local interests and needs, as well as the practical constraints of each site</li>
<li>Establish effective systems and programmes for project tracking, reporting on and documenting feedback throughout the commissioning process</li>
<li>Build and maintain partnerships between artists, local authorities, community organisations and residents</li>

As Participation Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination, administration and development of The Old Vic’s Front Line and Front Line Lambeth programmes, under the guidance of the Participation Manager. <li>Academic background and record of scholarship in a relevant field, as well as demonstrable evidence of a variety of interests and breadth of knowledge beyond the specialist field, and demonstrable expertise in contemporary art and design</li>
<li>Experience of working in a curatorial role in a comparable institution, with experience of collection development, care, and documentation processes; and working on fast-paced, complex project(s)</li>
<li>Experience of managing external stakeholders, such as project partners and organisations, with diplomacy</li>
<li>A demonstrable interest in, and enthusiasm for, telling stories about collections through temporary and permanent collection displays, exhibitions, publications, learning and engagement</li>
<li>A track record in innovative display and exhibition curating and public programming, and working with learning specialists, content developers, designers, contemporary artists, marketing and communication specialists</li>
<li>A creative approach to the ways in which the museum might develop in this field and deliver new commissions</li>
<li>Excellent standard of written English and highly numerate with the ability to carry out complex numerical analysis</li>
<li>Experience of using MS Office and other relevant IT systems to an intermediate / advanced level</li>
<li>Significant interpersonal and consultative skills, including the ability to communicate, present, negotiate, influence and build credibility with colleagues and external parties</li>
<li>Significant experience of managing and prioritising a high workload and multiple complex issues and tasks in a changing environment with tight deadlines</li>

The team
Podium is a division within freuds housing our sport, entertainment &amp; culture offering. The division houses a range of publicists specializing in a sport &amp; entertainment, whilst also offering the opportunity to work across a range of different clients. The division works closely with the wider freuds group, offering unrivalled connectivity, experiences, and opportunities. 
The entertainment team within freuds works across a range of disciplines, including unit publicity, theatrical film campaigns, streamer publicity campaigns and premieres &amp; live events. 
 
The role
We are seeking an associate who will be involved in a range of TV &amp; film publicity campaigns, as well as live events. We operate an integrated publicity team so you will be expected to have a strong knowledge of UK online and offline journalists. You will be a key player in driving the creative ambition of the client and have a proven ability to develop and deliver impactful publicity strategies and campaigns, generating excellent results. You take pride in delivering excellent work and regularly exceed expectations.
You are hungry for responsibly, new challenges, and the opportunity to work on some of the biggest campaigns &amp; events in entertainment.
 
Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Be an integral part of a team delivering best-in-class publicity campaigns for a range of clients </li>
<li>Manage the relationship with media monitoring agencies</li>
<li>Secure the confidence of the client, becoming their day-to-day first point of contact </li>
<li>Be confident in, talent handling and dealing with talent reps </li>
<li>Be confident in, operating on red carpets / live events </li>
<li>Research background information and ideas to support your line managers in the development of new business for prospective clients/clients. Your approach to research should ‘leave no stone unturned’ in its thoroughness to ensure it is robust as your line managers may be using this information in documents and in discussions with prospective clients/clients</li>
<li>Organizing and coordinating events, press conferences, photo calls, and or media contact programmes</li>
<li>Responding quickly and accurately to client requests.</li>
<li>Demonstrate an excellent knowledge of current entertainment landscape in the UK, US and globally  </li>
<li>Be confident in creating original, project – specific creative publicity ideas &amp; activations </li>
</ul>
