From the outset, Drama Republic has focused on producing vibrant, boundary-pushing work that is critically and commercially successful, including Mike Bartlett’s DOCTOR FOSTER for the BBC, starring Suranne Jones, Bertie Carvel and Jodie Comer, Hugo Blick’s THE HONOURABLE WOMAN, with Maggie Gyllenhaal and Tom Bidwell’s MY MAD FAT DIARY for E4. This was followed by a diverse range of dramas including THE ENGLISH for BBC/Amazon, with Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer, Kirstie Swain's PURE for Channel 4, and David Ireland's THE LOVERS for Sky, starring Johnny Flynn.
Most recently, Drama Republic produced ONE DAY, Nicole Taylor's acclaimed adaptation of David Nicholls' bestselling novel for Netflix, Sally Wainwright's RIOT WOMEN for BBC/BritBox and STEAL starring Sophie Turner for Amazon Prime. Next up is CALIFORNIA AVENUE, a new BBC series from Hugo Blick starring Bill Nighy, Helena Bonham Carter and Erin Doherty, set for release in 2027. In production this year is SAVIOUR, a legal thriller for ITV co-produced with Parti Productions and the third and final series of DOCTOR FOSTER.
Recent commissions include a second series of RIOT WOMEN, a BBC adaptation of Ava Pickett’s multi-award-winning play 1536, and showrunner Poppy Cogan’s adaptation of the social media sensation, BOYS OF TOMMEN for Amazon Prime.
Drama Republic has been part of the Mediawan Group since 2021.
Reporting to the Director of Production and Office & Production Coordinator, the post is office-based from Monday-Friday and, in general, normal office hours apply, however, the office is a busy production environment, so a flexible approach to working hours is essential.
The runner role works closely with the Personal and Executive assistants and the Office and Production team at Drama Republic to enable the smooth running of the Drama Republic office.

Responsibilities
General office upkeep and support, including:
- Office visitors/client hospitality, including greeting and offering refreshments
- Supporting the Office and Production Coordinator with office and asset management including managing the office storage unit and organising office post
- Assisting production with booking travel/accommodation/couriers
- Day to day managing of supplies and keeping the office /reception/kitchen areas stocked and tidy
- Managing petty cash accounts
- Answering phone calls
- Opening and closing the office
Knowledge, skills, experience
- Good administrative and organisational skills
- Good knowledge of office systems and procedures and excellent computer skills, particularly, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Planning and organisational skills and the ability to meet fixed deadlines
- Understanding of the need to handle confidential information with tact and sensitivity
- Organised and efficient
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise the work that is allocated
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- A flexible and pro-active approach to meet ever-changing demands and to work reasonable additional hours as and when required
- Ability to keep calm under pressure and deal sensitively and confidently with a range of contacts, both internal and external to Drama Republic
- Experience of working in an office environment would be an advantage
