Scheduler
We have an exciting opportunity for a scheduler to join our team at STV based in Glasgow.
STV Group plc is Scotland’s home of news, entertainment and drama, serving audiences with quality content on air, online and on demand. STV’s broadcast channel, accessible free-to-air on all the main TV platforms in Scotland, reaches 3.2 million viewers each month. Reporting to the head of scheduling & planning, you will be responsible for TV schedule planning for STV via dedicated scheduling systems and adherence to licence requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic scheduling of all STV programmes, promotions and sponsorship
- Compile and deliver transmission schedules, ensuring compliance with STV licence requirements
- Maintaining tracker of our regional programme output
- Analysis of Ofcom minutage tracker, identifying any potential problems and making recommendations for their timely resolution
- Produce weekly TV listings information to meet deadlines
- Maintain effective working relationships with ITV scheduling, planning and presentation
- Assist in any other aspects of the work of the company as reasonably required
Knowledge, skills, experience
- High level of self-initiative and the ability to work accurately under pressure to meet the demands of a fast-paced working environment
- Determination and drive to succeed and to overcome obstacles
- Attention to detail, the ability to prioritise/meet deadlines and adapt to a varied workload
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong IT skills including MS Office and Internet, and the ability to learn new packages including scheduling systems
- Maintaining workflow for internal departments
Desirable
- Knowledge of programme scheduling, programme ratings and their relationship to scheduling requirements is desirable
